Thanks to all that came to the games and to our little Christmas get together after.
Another weekend of progression with one win, a draw and two losses.
The teams battled hard against a very physical group of players. They all held their own and gave as good as they got.
I’m not going to mention any of our regular individuals as there were plenty of good performances but there is one thank you I’d like to mention however, and that goes out to Joe, who stepped in for us and scored a winning goal against our local rivals.
We are all really proud of our band of players and it’s good to see them starting to play for each other and I hope they are all having fun which is what it’s all about .
Next Sunday we are playing
Gerrards Cross away
I will email you all with details when I have them .
Thanks to all that turned up today .
Starting promptly and training first really helped both teams, as we were both drawing nearing half time , compared to going behind early last week.
I think that the players are all befitting from more game time since we slimmed the teams down . That said it would be great to have one sub for each team to put on fresh legs .
Jake and Liam led their teams well as captains , both scoring great goals.
Next week Adam and Sam take over the arm bands for our match against Chesham Athletic.
Special thanks must go out to Cameron for offering to go in goal for his team as our keeper had to retire sick and we went down to six a side.
All in all we had one win, one draw and two losses today against a very good side with multiple subs.
Thanks as ever for helping with the respect lines, reffing, and to Guy for helping with the keepers and team.
Please dont forget the kids need our belief and encouragement at all times from the sidelines, especially next week against our local rivals . Positive parents equals positive players and don’t forget drinks and healthy snacks for half time
After the game next week we will all have the chance to relax at the main Club, remember we are having our Christmas party at the club house from 12.00 ( food and drink funded by the club for the players ) and if you want to do secret Santa bring a present along for no more than £10.00.
I will send out the match details for this coming Sunday later this week but due to the more writer weather and colder mornings I am suggesting a 10.00 meet and a 10.30 kick off for us as we are at home again .
Thanks to those who turned out today. Every child played as well as they could and the performances were very good but we were up against a very good team which has won every game this season and was just a bit quicker and a bit stronger at times. Thanks to Ed, George and Harry for joining us from the Saturday team and Charles who stepped up superbly from the U9s.
As you may be aware, that was my last game in charge. I was very touched by the sendoff at the end and I hope everyone continues to give Scott as much effort and support as they’ve given me right from the start.
Scott will now be your main point of contact. The next game isn’t until Nov 5th after half term.
Thanks to all the parents that made the trip out to our furthest away match of the season, I’m sure you agree it wasn’t wasted .
Special thanks must go to Guy who stepped up and help out with being a ref and a great one .
We had four great games . One epic 4-3 win and three narrow losses one at 1-0 .
As ever it’s not the scores that matter but this was a very close run weekend with multiple players hitting crossbars , posts , inside and out , goal line clearance and amazing saves and this was by there teams, I can honestly say we literally hit every part of all those goals and in any other weekend who knows ....
I’m really proud of both teams and they way they played and conducted themselves and we really played some great football and with some of the smallest goals I’ve seen and the biggest goalkeepers .
Training is back this Monday and then Friday at Dr C from 6.30 to 7.30 .
We don’t have a game next weekend as it’s Remembrance Sunday but we are back on the 19th at Home so will be closer for all of us.
I will let you all know the time of the kick offs.
Thanks for the great turnout today and the amount of effort the children put in. We were up against a good team but the games never became one-sided. Thanks to George and Harry for joining us from the Saturday team.
We are at home to Thame next week. It will be an 11.15 kick off so a 10.45 meet please.
