We run teams from ages ranging from under 5's through to Adults in and around Chesham.
We offer guidance and encouragement from fully qualified coaches to over 520 children every week.

CLUB AIMS AND ETHOS

Chesham United Youth FC is an all-inclusive youth football club aspiring to develop and teach ALL children from the local community in a safe, fun and nurturing environment.

We want players to have a life-long love for the game, and to reach their full potential both in the game and socially as people.

OUR STORY

Chesham United Youth FC is an FA Charter Standard Club with 42 teams and over 520 players from under 5s up to adults. We aim to inspire and develop every one of our players to the best of their ability.

We help all our players participate and enjoy football, playing with a smile in a safe, secure and protected environment.

We are a registered charity, run by a small number of dedicated volunteers. Our coaches are also all volunteers who thrive on bringing the enjoyment of football to aspiring footballers of all abilities in Chesham and the surrounding area.

Chesham United Youth Football Club is proud to have a dedicated team of volunteers who coach the children and manage the teams come rain or shine. Our committee also consists of volunteers who run the club ensuring that the players can enjoy their football in a safe and inclusive environment. Marianne Moberg

CHAIR
With a career spanning over 25 years in human resources I am really passionate about creating a supportive and nurturing environment at CUYFC where our children can develop and grow. From an early age I adored sports and have played football, handball, badminton, tennis you name it. Now bootcamp and running have taken over!!

Both my sons started football at 3 years old and I wish I had taken it more seriously myself . Now making up for it by being part of CUYFC. As we all know keeping active is crucial for our mental health wellbeing and am delighted we have so many people who wants to be part of our community.

Louise Leathers

CLUB SECRETARY

My Name is Louise and I am the current secretary at Chesham United Youth Football Club. I have 3 children who currently play for CUYFC and they have played for the club for a few years now.

The reason I got involved is because the club is run entirely by volunteers, and whilst I cannot volunteer to coach or ref a game (despite my numerous years of standing on the side lines, I still dont know the rules), I wanted to help in another way. So when a position came up in the committee I decided to volunteer.

Andrew (Stan) Winstanley

VICE CHAIR

Hello. I am Stan (Andrew Winstanley) and I am the the Vice Chair at Chesham United Youth. I have been an FA qualified coach for nearly 30 years and I now coach our youth teams across three age groups!

I have four children, with my three boys all heavily immersed in the Chesham United family. Jude (U6), Jake (U8) and Noah (U12) are all avid Liverpool fans and were given no choice in the matter from a very early age!

Jules Watson

DIRECTOR OF FOOTBALL

Hi, my name is Jules and I am the Director of Football at the club. I’m currently completing my UEFA C coaching license and I look after the U10 Raptors and run training sessions for the U14 Generals.

I’m a northerner, so I like gravy on my chips and anything to do with Burnley football club. We have four teams in our household as my wife Laura is an Evertonian, my eldest boy Jake supports Arsenal and my youngest boy George supports Chelsea.

Weekends are busy with football and we wouldn’t have it any other way. It’s great to be active and involved with so many other families in the Chesham area.

Chris Pendsé

MARKETING AND COMMS
Hello, my name is Chris and I head up Marketing & Comms at the club. I've two children, and my son plays for U15s so I spend most Sundays supporting the team.

CUYFC is a great club to be involved in. Many of the players have been playing together since they were 5 or 6 and so there have been many friendships formed on and off the pitch and on the touchline.

As well as cheering on Chesham United, the family all support Brighton & Hove Albion. We try to get to a few Seagulls games each season and we have been enjoying their recent successes. SEAGULLS !!!

Giles Hayward

TREASURER AND FUNDRAISING

I'm Giles Hayward. My son plays in the under 15's and started at the club aged 5. I also have a daughter over in the ladies section.

I have been involved in the club for several years now organising sponsorship, our tournament and am currently club treasurer. It's amazing how much of a transformation I have seen.

Unfortunately, I also support Everton!

Rakhee Bentley

CLUB WELFARE OFFICER

My name is Rakhee and I am the club Welfare Officer at CUYFC. Both of my children play football and have for many years now.

I have been on the committee for almost 8 years in a number of roles with the Secretary role being the most longstanding. I moved over to Welfare as I felt that as a teacher, my experience would be put to good use.

I'm a big Arsenal fan and often go to Borehamwood or the Emirates to watch the women play. COYG!

Nicki Williams

ASSISTANT CLUB WELFARE OFFICER

Hi I’m Nicki, I am the assistant welfare officer and work along side Rakhee. I have just started in this role. I also support my partner who runs the Under 13’s clarets with all admin for the team and i’m a qualified coach too.

i’ve been a huge football fan since i was young and to my first match at Anfield age 7 - big supporter of Liverpool FC

Craig Bentley

PITCHES SECRETARY

My name is Craig and I am the Pitches Secretary. Both of my children play football; my daughter plays for a rival club(!) and my son is currently in the u12s where I coach his team.

I have been part of the committee in various roles for the last 2 years but have been involved with the club for 8 years. There's only one premier league team worth supporting - COYG!!

Anna Hickman

MEMBERSHIP SECRETARY

Hi, I'm Anna. I decided to volunteer this year after seeing how much my 7 year old loves his training and matches, and how much work other parents put in. The rest our family know nothing about football and had not watched a match before he joined, but now we're fully behind Chesham United, who are a great community club and really committed to supporting youth players.
