• Double success

Both The Clarets and Blues put in fine performances which got the results they deserved this morning against St James and Kings Church respectively.

Woodside has gone from a swamp to concrete in record time but everyone made a contribution - some for both teams - which sets us up for the busy Festival period coming up.

Only The Blues have a game next week at Legacy. Phil will be in charge, Aaron will be captain.

  • Joint U11 training 25.02.19

Another great turnout at training despite the cold on Monday evening for all of the U11 teams. Sean's innovative drills seemed to go down well with all of the players. The Saturday teams are in action in the second week of the Church League tournament this weekend

  • Saturday U10 update 13.01.18

Both of the Saturday U10 teams enjoyed an unbeaten weekend in their Church League matches.

The Clarets held a strong Westwood Park 2-2 - an improvement on a heavy defeat to the same opponents in the autumn -  while The Blues worked extremely hard to eventually overcome Seer Green 2-0 with both goals coming in the final quarter. The team was captained superbly by Ilia and the goals from Matthew E and Jake were well deserved.

The Clarets will be training next Saturday while The Blues are away at Thames Valley Youth in Slough. Details of who is training/playing will come from Phil later this week.

  • Saturday U11 report - 30.03.19

There was success for both Saturday U11 teams. The Clarets won their section of the Church League tournament following two close matches with Holy Trinity and Kings Church and all deserved the trophies they received for the hard work they have put in this season.

The Blues made their longest trip of the season to meet Thames Valley Youth and were excellent in the first half to go 3-0 up and eventually saw out the game to win 4-3, a scoreline which was probably closer than the balance of play. Everyone worked hard on a very warm morning and deserved the win.

Both teams are now well-placed in their divisions as we head to the end of the the season.

    U11 training

Saturday U11 Clarets lost narrowly to Westwood Park at Chartridge this weekend. The Blues had their match postponed at short notice but had a great turnout for training. Both teams will be involved in the Church League tournament after half-term

  • Saturday U11 update 02.03.19

Both Saturday teams were involved in the Church League Tournament this weekend. The Clarets enjoyed a big win over Kings Church B-team and a narrow defeat to Westwood Park to finish second in their group. The Blues found it hard going against two teams from the higher division - Kings Church and Chalfont - before another defeat against Westwood Park from their league and finished 4th. Both teams will conclude the tournament next week.

  • Two narrow defeats....

Both of the Saturday U10 teams were on the wrong end of narrow score lines on Saturday.

Both worked very hard to level their matches before conceding late goals which produced results which didn’t really reward the effort and determination every player put in.

Both should be in action next Saturday at Woodside weather permitting in the final matches before the half-term break.

  • Weekend review 5.5.18

There was a bit of symmetry about the performances on a very hot morning at Woodside.

The Blues made a very slow start against a strong Iver Patriots but heads didn’t drop and the finish to the game was excellent. Clarets dominated the start against Kings Church but had to hang on for a narrow victory in the end.

Thanks to our regular catering team and the parents/grandparents for their support.DC4A4653 B146 426B A9C8 6C04EBB082F0
